Injury Risk Analyses
HYLYGHT is a Belgian company, founded as a spin-off from University of Ghent and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Our mission is to bring sports science into practice by taking the best available evidence on injury prevention, rehabilitation, training and monitoring of athletes, and translating it into an expert online tool for professionals and field practitioners.

Tests and Analysis
We carry out a series of tests to identify asymmetries, weaknesses, and areas with high potential risk of injury based on the type of sports and athletes. We asses physical compatibility capacity, motion capability, posture imperfections, structural differences and athletic performance characteristics to figure out deficiencies, prepare custom reports and keep track of the progress over time.
Regeneration and Recovery
Our muscles feel sore and tired after long practice sessions and races. We use scientifically proven rehabilitation methods to recover and regenerate muscles before and after each practice session and race. This results in better performance, diminishes pain and muscular burn out, maintains muscle mass and prolongs a professional athlete’s career.
Taping
Applications with kinesiological, dynamic, elastic or rigid bands treat the athlete, protect them from injuries, reduce pain and contribute to mechanical strength. By deciding on the appropriate taping technique by the PT Academy team, muscle cramps and edema are reduced, muscle performance and blood flow are increased.
Sports Rehabilitation
We assess the individual within the sports rehabilitation framework to understand performance characteristics, uncover weaknesses and injury risks, rehabilitate injuries rapidly, create custom preventive exercise routines based on the individual and activity level, and achieve high levels of performance sustainably.
Orthopedic Exercise Protocols
Every athlete or active person suffered from a knee injury, a twisted ankle, a sprained ligament or strained tendon at least for once. We treat athletes who suffer from orthopedic musculoskeletal injuries by using scientifically proven methods and our expertise on the field with olympic teams. We create specific exercise routines based on the type of injury, medical operations, body type to prepare for the operation and help recover faster after the operation.
